A Day of Cedar Lake with Zach, 1 my sons

I had the chance to spend a day with my son, Zach, on Cedar Lake on 12/27/10. This doesn't happen very much as he lives in Kentucky and is 18 years old. He is always ready for the outdoors. He is a hunter and a fisherman. But on a day with a little leftover snow on the ground he would have rather been in a duck blind. Zach had never really fished with a jerk bait very much, but as you can tell caught on very quickly. The water temp was 37-39 degrees and the air temp was 22-26 degrees for the day with a light wind. These 4 fish weighed 14lbs 13oz. Zach kept saying that it was crazy to be catching fish in this weather and even good ones. He did let me catch a few also, but what I caught didn't matter on that day. Zach is ready to go again. And I am ready for him to go. My Daughter Katie,16, did inform me that she need some cold weather gear for her next trip.
